I'm getting to the point where I'm hurting for a notebook pretty bad and am about to just order the best that's available for me right now. This is currently looking like the D630 but I was really hoping to hold out for the XPS 1330. My main problem with the D630 is that it does not have an express card as far as I know. This is what the Dell site says about the D630:

    This is the PC Card:
One Type I or Type II
Supports 34mm ExpressCard via USB interface through PCMCIA adapter

Does this mean you hook a 34 mm ExpressCard reader up to the laptop via a USB connection and that the 54 mm is not an option?

If I waited till the XPS 1330 would I be able to use PCMCIA cards with it by going through an adapter? I know you can't do it the other way around because the ExpressCard adapter would be too fast for the PCMCIA port on the laptop but maybe going from new to old would be possible? Thanks
