How do you like the WXGA screen? I have found it to be just fine!

Are people voting who actually purchased the machine? or are people just blatently voting for the screen resolution being bad,but they havent actually bought one. I cant see someone buying it , fully knowing the resolution, and being dissapointed :p, I sure wasnt, 1024 x 768 for 3 years on a 19inch, this is absolutly fine :p

I was thinking the same thing. If you don't own this laptop, then please do not vote!

I though that was clear with the thread's title....

WXGA is just fine for me
the only issue is that the lcd is too bright (relatively to my 5 years old toshiba laptop)
i had to change the brightness and gamma to suite my preference

anyone know how to check the lcd maker?

Just rec'd mine and was worried about the screen...and wow, just fine, actually amazing! No grainy issues, dead pixels, nothin! The machine is a tank, sweet to look at, performance is great...and screen size is perfect as I was worried it was too going to be too big...man its just sweeet!

Hey, we need more responses to increase the reliability of the poll. Vote only if you actually own a M1530.

Can't expect a lot of people to vote as most are still deciding or have just ordered and haven't received theirs yet.

IMO, if I didn't buy my Vostro, I'd be sure to get the 1530! I configured something almost the same as my Vostro and it came out only $200 more expensive [with the discounts of course]! Of course, I still love my Vostro and I'm not yet Vista-ready [lol].

And, obviously, I wouldn't be complaining about screen resolution, as I got WXGA on my Vostro. Lower res means better gaming without having to adjust resolution outside of native, so yeah. :D

edit: Maybe you should've made this a public poll, to make sure that the ones voting are real, actual XPS 1530 owners

The higher rez screen for ~$50 is a no brainer and virtually all of you would have bought one if they were being offered. Buyer's remorse? ;)
