If you have constant 100% CPU level, the noise is significantly reduced.

Could it be possible that the 8600 GT is causing the noise? look at the poll results so far.

I thought it was determined that processor scaling was the issue... but you (Duke) were too lazy to try the solution.

Bucknut is right. Please stop making these threads. You have LITERALLY created 7 threads on the issue of 1520 headphone noise.

EDIT: there is also no need to bump this every half hour.

I believe your trolling more than us by creating thread after thread on a topic that has been beaten to death.

Most people here would have ordered it with 8600GT, though. Without 8600GT, 1520 is just a bulky budget laptop. So I don't think many people here own 1520 withour 8600GT in the first place.

same problem with mine - just received my laptop - and it does make noise when I use headphones.

I believe (something is telling me) it's the wi-fi card - had similar problem before.

So please let me know if you (who have this problem) are using wireless connection.

CHOICE: I hear interference. My setup includes: t7300, 8600 GT, 7200 RPM HDD

    PLUS a "Next-Gen" Wifi card

i believe that the problem was found to be cpu interference. check the forums to be sure. If i remember, it can be fixed using the RMclock program.

I have posted this a few times, so sorry if anyone is reading this for the 3rd, 4th, 5th time. ;)

My $20 radio shack headset has ZERO interference, but my free earbuds have more than enough for both of them. Again i don't know why this happens, but they just don't have any interference at all, so there is hope. (this is the only reason i'm not angry about this ;) )
