I have Inspiron 6400 /x1400 with Dell stock drivers installed, I had this issue that at random times when I unplug my laptop the screen blacks out and the windows freezes, so I tried disabling POWERPLAY and the blackout no longer happens. Is there any way to fix this than disabling POWERPLAY?

    thanx

Ok since, no one replied, I decided to do my own research and I found the solution, in 3 very simple steps:

Before unplugging the laptop from the AC cord, just close the LCD lid (1), then unplug the AC cord (2) and reopen the lid (3), this way the computer will not freeze or blackout, try it as many times as u want.

    OR

Just disable POWERPLAY from ATI Control Panel.
