    Hi there,

I'm having a very similar problem to a lot of users with my system hanging at the screen with www.dell.com in a blue bar during load. It gets to

    PBR2 .... done

    and then hangs.

Now I know this is to do with media centre from the other threads here but heres the rub - I have not deleted, formatted or in any way played with my partititions.

I accidentally pressed the media centre button (since I have no use for it) for the very FIRST time ever from power off. It loaded fine, I logged out and voila PBR2 .... done -> hang! It hangs every time since. F12ing into Dell's diagnostics and everything passes.

I have important data and memories on there, which are still accessible in media centre. How do I save my laptop!?

b.t.w it's an Australian Dell 640M, Core2Duo 1.66 Ghz, 1 GB RAM, WinXP SP2, 80GB HDD if any of this is relevant.
