Have you guys experienced any kind of issues when trying to plug a PS/2 Keyboard through a PS2-Usb adapter on the E1705 System. I tried to do it and windows won't recognize it (I would get the new found harware ballon but at the end it would tell me that there was an issue during the installation and it would not function). I Ran the PC Restore utility and still the same thing. The Keyboard and the adapter would work fine on an inspiron 8200. The Usb ports would work fine with any other devices. Any suggestions?

it depends on your adapter. if you're using a ps2>usb adapter from a mouse, it won't work. you have to buy a special adapter (usually it's one that has 2 ps2 inputs going into 1 usb connector)

u should just invest in a new keyboard anyway; ps2? how old is it?

lol, I guess you are right about getting an usb keyboard but the weird thing is that this ps2 keyboard using that same adapter would work on any other laptop.... that's why I am asking to see if there is any bug on this system about it....

whoops, sorry, i didn't see the last part of your post ( guess i should read them all the way through, huh? )

if it works elsewhere it should work on your 9400

not sure what the problem would be

Strange issue since any other usb device would work on all of my usb ports.....
