    Is it ok to allocate the page file to the Data drive partition?

    If not, would it be ok to reduce the pagefile size now that I have 2 GB of RAM?

    What should it be reduced to?

    i think its fine to put your pagefile anywhere, but if you had two hard drives (which i very much doubt), then you should put the pagefile on the drive without applications/OS.

    the general rule for pagefile is 1.5 times the ram. I guess you could reduce it, but I'm not sure to what point.

    It would seem that the OP should first research how Windows defines paging before embarking upon a tuning exercise.
