    Hi folks,
I've recently received my Dell Studio 15 with LED. Although I am extremely impressed with the display, I still wish to double check Dell have given me the correct display panel. I've checked the hardware ID for the display and it is:

    'monitor\LPLB80A'

Does this tally up? Does anyone have the UK LED part number please?

I've had a good dig around on here (which is how I found out how to get the above hardware ID) but cannot see a part number listed. It is the 1440 x 900 res option, the only LED option available in the UK.

    Many thanks. :)

I have the LED screen and the same Hardware ID as you do. Same question. However, the screen is FANTASTIC, so it's probably the LED. I used to have an XPS1530m with the normal 1440x900 LCD screen, and though very good, it didn't play in the same league as the Studio 15 screen with the same native resolution. I think we'll have to trust Dell!

    Product code: G753C
Liquid Crystal Display 15.4WXGA+, Light Emitting Diode, True Life, LG Philips LCD

    Item No.: 320-6494

I compared it to a current gen HP laptop and you do notice a difference. I'd say it felt like the same jump from a CRT monitor to an LCD monitor.

Where did you get that product code from? I'd like to check mine. It certainly isn't on my electronic order sheet, but I've not received my paper invoice yet.
The item number is different but I think that number is incremental, or different geopraphically.
Be nice to check its the right screen, but to be fair theres no bleeding, its really bright and sharp, so I am guessing it is the LED one.
    Thanks.

Wait till you receive the paper invoice. I'm from Canada so there might be a different code.
