I ordered my 600m from Dell and recieved it a few weeks ago. I just got a digital camera and as I was loading some new digital pics on my computer, I found a bunch of files (pics) of some guy and his family. Why am I getting atleast some used parts with my "new" computer? What do I do about it?

Update: I have been trying to talk with Dell about this and their customer service agents seen to be avoiding my inquiries like the plague. One lady in tech support tried to convince me that the files appeared because of "incorrect imaging of software". The same agent also tried to convince me these were simply sample pictures that come on every computer. I have those also, these are not those. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am not upset at the pictures being there. I am upset at the thought that I recieved a used computer at a new price.

well, if anything happens to the lappy, i am sure dell will take care of you. I would just be happy it works and doesnt have any physical damage.

If you returned it, i am 95% sure they will send you a complete refurb as a replacement. i had this happen to me 5 times. the refurbs dell has are horrible, i got one LCD that didnt even turn on, one that had physical damage, and one that had 10 DEAD/stuck pixels!!

    good luck

That is ridiculous, I'm not sure what your legal options are but at least try to get some kind of compensation for it, especially if you payed for a new system.

seriously, that's not right. Make them give you a new one if you payed for a new one, they ripped u off! thats so wrong, they should give u like a free 8600 or 9200 for that! paying for a new one and recieving one worth a lot less. how wrong
