This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     We ordered two lappies on thursday evening, no confirmation email yet :(

    Credit card purchases take several days for processing, and if you ordered thursday night, then friday alone wont be long enough to process your order.

    I ordered mine last Thursday night, or more accurately Friday morning, around 1am. And I got a confirmation call the same morning at 11am.

    If you haven't had a *pre-auth*, or it hasn't been completed..contact Dell tomorrow morning, and ask what the status is. Then, be sure to request e-mail confirmation (case #), etc. ;)

    Ok, I'm guessing this doesn't count as part of the "Up to ten business days," so this could end up arriving after Uni starts :(
    On a lighter note, I got my Uni acception today!

    It does seem normal, yes. I ordered two laptops (Inspiron 1525 and Studio 1535) on saturday morning and I've only just now received the acknowledgement email. And that email says the payment hasn't been confirmed yet! (I paid with Visa Credit Card). I'm still waiting for the payment confirmation email and then I should be able to get an ETA.

    Ok, as long as it isn't totally unheard of.
    We were worried 'cos we'd never seen that "Verified by Visa" thing before, and we might have mucked it up :p

    If you got to the page with the internet receipt number the Visa thing must have worked.

    I don't know where you are, but I'm in the UK and just got told by an online agent that "for the past couple of days, our software didn't work, that is the reason the order has been placed today." So if their systems have been down over the weekend that might explain your delay in payment (and mine, hopefully).
