    I bought my 1720 in August, and was wondering if the new mobile penryns were compatible with my comp. Would it even be worth the upgrade?

    I dont know if it is compatible but i dont think its worth the money. what processor do you have now? what motherboard

    not worth upgrade though i don't think. i guess thats coming from a guy in grade 11 who doesn't have loads of money. I got my xps 1530 for 1580$ as is in sig...pretty sick....depends what your doing and how much money you have.

    Yeah I'll be working in 3Dmax a lot, but thats not till next year.

    it may be very much worth it if 3Dmax supports SSE4
    I don't know if 3dmax does so, however.
