Well guys, after doing some fooling with rmclock i was able to get some pretty awsome results, upon delivery my laptop loaded at about 60C and idled @ 26C..after fidling around i was able to lower my load temp to 47C and idle temp to 24C. I also expect to gain 20-30 min of battery life from this softmod.

    here's what you need:
    rm clock - http://cpu.rightmark.org/download/rmclock_235_bin.exe
orthos to test stability - http://sp2004.fre3.com/beta/orthos_exe_20060420.cab

and follow this thread here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=2637648#post2637648

The key to making this work as discovered in this thread - http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=228934
is to uncheck the IDA in the profiles, otherwise rmclock wont apply your settings.

a little off topic but you seem like an expert for T9300, would you say the T9300 is as fast as X7800? I already know now its less barrtery consumption and you just proved its alot less heat vs santa rosa.

with the x7800 at stock, the t9300 is faster, if overclocked then the x7800 is faster( but i doubt you'd oc it..since you probably want battery life)

if your familiar with superpi the x7800 gets 20 sec while the t9300 gets 18 sec
and in pcmark the x7800 gets 6300pts while the t9300 gets 6900

this makes it very clear that at stock speeds, the t9300 is better than the x7800 in every aspect from speed to power consumption and heat output :D
also keep in mind the x7800 is now considered an older genertion imo since its 65n vs penryn's 45nm and higher cache
pretty nifty considering its in a 13" machine

How can your CPU be 24° idle? that's about your ambient temperature :)

My T7500 is at 47° idling after 4 hours being on SLFM 8.0x @ 0.8500V

you should include running times, like 30 minutes full load = 47°, after the system has already be running for 5 hours.
