    Which processor emits less heat: 1.73ghz Pentium Dual Core or 2.4ghz Core 2 Duo Penryn?

    PDC, but quite insignificant and not something you want to base your purchase on.

    Would the heat differential have any impact on how often the fan comes on? That's the main reason for my interest.
