    Hi guys,

Just to let you know you can now upgrade the M1530 to the Penyrn T9300 or the T9500 over the phone (in the UK)......The web site has not been updated yet, you can try this E-code over the phone....N03X5310.

I ordered my M1530 last week and am desperately trying to get the new chip installed before they build my unit.....

Good news to all those who have held off to order there new machine!!!!!

On the E-code I was given (N03X5310) it was an £80 upgrade for the T9300 and £160 for the T9500. I do not know what chip it came with to start with (should check it out online, if someone else does before me please post).

Just to let you know, the price of the T9300 is £79 more than the price for a T7500.

I hope this makes sence to you all, I have just upgraded my order to include a T9300..... :D

According to your e-vouchers claim and the current scheme for the UK M 1330, the T9500 for the M 1530 is half the price of the same chip in the notebook that's just two inches smaller!

Whereas the T9300 is the same price in either form factor...

    Something is amiss.

Thats a great deal, but 950.00 is my limit.

My missus would go bonkers even if I spent that, but 1100 I would never get to see my kids again. no wat im sayin.

Will keep looking and hope and pray for a once in a life time deal.

I did have all the same spec down to 889.00 with vat and del. but no penryn only a t7500, but dont get paid until then, But then my missus said the next day I would have bought it and you pay me back on the 18th, but my luck offer ended .
    Damn

    Thanks dude

Thats $2,200.92 at the current exchange rate. Thats really expensive compared to here in USA. Same system would be ~$1,600 or £806.20. Thats without any haggeling.

But its good to hear penryn is on the way. Thanks for that!

Have just had an online chat and the guy at dell did not want to tell me about the processors, he told me in a round about way, that they are super cheap at the moment due to maybe a price issue.

Plus we live in rip off brittian, so we are happy to pay double what everyone in the rest of the world pays.

We pay for yobs and council bums to sit on there ass and drink beer everyday, that why we get ripped off.

Did I mention as well, if you walk into a hospital you will be lucky to walk out alive due to mrsa, so all in all .. we live in a great country.. lol

That guys said you could get the same spec in US for 1800.00 what a load of c$%p.

i did a quote on the usa web site and it was 2700.00 and that did not include the penryn processor.

Oh and I only put 2mb ram not 4.

Was going to buy from america, but its more expensive than in the uk. Thats a first.

    Damn it!

    Mine's arriving tomorrow with a T7700.

I guess theres not a massive difference in performance between the t9300 and the t7700 for most non-media encoding type stuff, but it's still bloody annoying.

Time to be philisophical about it.

I didn't question your source, what I question is how they (Dell) can justify a whopping 150 quid premium on the same T9500 processor being installed into the M1330 over the M1530. That's all.

    Enjoy your purchase.

They still haven't updated the UK dell site offering penryn for the M1530, ordering my system soon and i want the penryn chip, hopefully when i call it will be available as an upgrade as the OP says.

Anyone else phoned up lately and ordered the M1530 with the penryn processor in the UK?

Is 1530 available with T8100 as an option? If yes, What is the price and config?
It looks to be far better than the T7250 option now present
