I was referred by a forum member to a product called ZeroShock. After researching, I finally ordered the product on Wednesday and it came in today.
OH BOY, IT'S WELL WORTH THE MONEY!
I am very pleased with the ZeroShock III 14-Inch Notebook Sleeve I ordered from Shinza. The product maybe a little pricey for notebook sleeves (in the $30 range), but rest assured that it is made of superior quality. Unlike cheap $10 or $20 sleeves lined with thin foam, ZeroShock has actual padding that compresses and decompresses when pressure is applied; it is also very stylish and well-built. I highly recommend their product in offering great protection for any laptop.
As for the company, I commend Shinza for its excellent customer service. I asked a question by e-mail and Audrey (a customer care representative) answered timely, and then assisted me with further questions. Moreover, I was informed about a back-to-school savings code going on that I was unable to place when I ordered. Audrey updated my total to reflect said savings.

I highly recommend ZeroShock for its superior quality as well as Shinza for excellent customer service and fast shipping. I would not hesitate to buy from them again in the future!
I ordered the 14in sleeve that only comes in black, and I can confirm that it fits the Dell Inspiron 1420 with a regular 6-cell battery. Its a snug fit to the sides, but there is about an inch space height-wise. Because of this, I'm pretty sure that would it would also fit a 1420 with 9-cell battery (I've seen my friend's black 1420 with9 cell... so "no", Im just not guessing!)

I know that this can go to the Accessories forum, but I posted it here because I was looking for a notebook sleeve for a Dell Inspiron -- a little chunkier and heavier than its counterparts from HP or Sony.
I hope this information will help people! Thank you![]()

Wow that sleeve looks kinda gooney!!

Thanks for posting this. It looks like just what I want. If my notebook ever gets here, I'll order one for it, though I'm afraid any "back to school" coupons will be long since expired.

aww cute, you bought your baby a home =}
thx, ill get it too. the ones dell offer are quite lame. not a fan of the colors at all, red and black seems too 80s, and pink is just not me, though i could try it, id probably regret it. -
the code was "backtoschool" which gives 15% off.

Saw this on eBay yesterday and was interested, but didn't trust buying it on eBay (far too many fake items on there these days!). Thanks for linking me to the site of the company that makes these.
Popped my order in just now. I will post information on how well it absorbs a fall whenever my i1520 arrives! As I'm sure I'll drop my laptop sometime... I seem to always do it

so does it fit a vostro 1400 with a 9cell, (i highly doubt it does, so what can i do?)
-
I e-mailed them whether the 15-in widescreen notebook sleeve would fit the 1520 with the 9-cell (seeing as though I have one), and Audrey quickly responded, stating that a customer just ordered one for his 1520 and she'll follow up on him to see if it'll fit the 1520 altogether. Now that's customer service!
I really really hope it fits haha, they seem like great sleeves. -
Perfect Dell Inspiron Notebook Sleeve!
