    Performance of My Dell Inspiron 6400 is much much much slow ?

    my lappy is inspiron 6400 2GH 4MB Cache, 2GB RAM.........but after one hour.....the temperature is high like 69- 70-74....is it ok.......????????

    firstly i thought may be antivirus problm but i uninstall that one.....soooo now again same problm........after 1-2 hours when i click on the "show hidden icons" in taskbar then the taskbar icon display is veeeery very slow...and overall performance is much much much slow......
    now i am using external fan pad for cooling ...but same problm....

    at this time
    HD temp is 30 centigrade
    Processor temp is 72 centigrade
    load on system is just 20%...

    and overall system performance is much much slow....i don't know what happend...

    i didn't use my system very much...just 2-3 months but i bought 20 months ago...

    plz tell me some solution...thanks in advance...


    i use formatted hard drive ....and its full clean...there is no any kind of virus or trogen..

    You may want to check the cooling guide that was posted. It sounds like you'll need to check for and clean out any excess dust. Those temps are too high at the moment.
