Photos of Inspiron 1420 in Alpine White?

Hi everyone,

I have just recently gone on the market for a new computer and have my heart set on a Dell Inspiron 1420. By far, the most difficult decision with the customization process was which color I wanted to go with. I am currently leaning towards the Alpine White and would appreciate it if anyone had any photos they could post for me.

This is my first post on this forum, and I hope to become more involved as my new computer arrives. But any help would be so great! Thank you in advance.

So I purchased my Dell Inspiron 1420 on Friday, July 27, and surprisingly, it arrived in the mail today (Wednesday, August 1). Since no one had volunteered to put up pictures of their 1420 in Alpine White, I decided I would go ahead and post up some of my own. Here we go:

 

I haven't seen anybody with the alpine white, but I think it looks like the best color. But, if you don't want a delay, you have to get Jet Black, Brown, or Ruby Red.

 

Yeah I noticed that the color options could have between a 4 to 7 day delay in ship date. It's just I haven't found any photos of the white anywhere. Black, Brown, and Red are all very easy to find around the internet.

 

You could always go to a Dell kiosk to see the colors.

 

Hey stella, I see you got both the 1520 and the G1S, which do you like better?

 

I'd recommend any of the colored ones, as those are the ones with the Satin Finish. I'd LOVE to have a Black Satin Finish one, but I can't...I didn't know the Black was a matte finish when I ordered mine, otherwise I might of gotten a colored one. The satin finish is amazing, while the matte finish one is a little prone to scratching and fingerprints a lot more than the Satin Finish ones. The white one, isn't matte though it's kind of a glossy shiny feel to it.

 

To be honest I think I like white the least. I'd recommend black or brown as a neutral color, but red looks really, really nice (plus you get the nice microstain finish)

 

Liquid, I think I'm going to post a quick thread about the positives and negatives of each. I don't want to hijack this thread any worse than it already has been, lol.

 

My Alpine White 1420 Inspiron has apparently left the factory and will be delivered later this week.

I'll post pictures when it arrives naisatoh.

I'm really impressed with the way white looks.

 

Yesterday, I order the yellow one for my daughter to take to university. It should arrive in 2 weeks. She can't wait for it to arrive.

 

I'm yet to see real life pics of the Alpine White.

It would’ve been really nice if the interior (currently silver) was also white .

Same here. I got the blue, and brown would've been my second choice, followed by red at a distant third. I think pink looks better than white (but if I was forced to buy one colour I'd take white).

 

looks awesome man, I'm actually considering that now lol.
I was really only going to choose between black or white because I don't want my laptop to stand out too much.

I think the white has a slimming effect on the whole system, this looks a lot less bulky that the other Inspirons I have seen so far.

The gloss is so good that we can see how you are holding the camera in the second photo...

I just had to register to these forums to put my input, Ive just ordered a Dell inspiron 1420 Alphine white, cant wait to get it. And by the looks of these pics, just makes me more happy. The wait is just hurting me lol. I Ordered mines 8/6 and should be at my house 8/22-8/24

so how light is the dell inspiron 1420's im looking to buy a new laptop soon i cant decice if i want white blue or red red looks very nice im goin with the 2 mega pixal webcam i my other laptop is dell inspiron 1505 had it for a year or longer. how good r the 1420's and how good is the camera's on them???? can anyone send me some pics? thank you

 

I am waiting for mine, as of right now it shows on the UPS truck out for delivery. Mine is a yellow 1420 and I cant wait to see it.

And it IS painful to wait!

It's basically thanks to the OP that I bought my 1720. If I'd never seen his pictures, I wouldn't have thought the white could look that good and would have held off! haha
