    For those interested:

Not sure what to offer on the review but if you have questions, ask away. It seems great so far (this coming from a 700m user of 3 years). I'm still not comfortable with Vista (at all) and would love to abandon it for XP. I'm still waiting to hear from some people on how to reduce the resource hogging.
I've added nothing to this thing yet and I already have 65 processes running. Ah well. These things take time.

Here are some pics to compare it to the size of a 700m. Something I haven't seen done yet.

lol, I'll be going from 700m to 1330, too... BTW, anyone wants a 700m in excellent condition (brand-new LCD, keyboard, palmrest, etc)?

    BTW, check out http://www.blackviper.com/ ;)

Is that the LED screen or a regular LCD?

At the first glance, it appears to be a CCFL, but I might be wrong.

can you give measurements of the front and back of the laptop and their widest points? I have read Dell's measurements of .87-1.3 in. but I have been wondering what they were in actuality. Is it as thin and light as you thought it would be?

    Regular screen.
12-1/2 at the back and the front.

Sorry if the comparison pics aren't new. Thought this was the first batch of m1330's that got sent.

    Hope that helps.

And regarding weight... it seems lighter than I expected. Although I went from a 9cell to the 6cell.

I think you misunderstood my question. I meant to ask how thin it is in the front and then how thick it is in the back (from the side view), not how wide it is. Sorry if I confused you with the way I worded the question

the back is quit thick, only slightly lower than the 700m's height, i was suprised how thick it really is relative to my 700m, but its still the thinnest 13inch out there. the processing power rocks, but i dont really dig the bigger footprint, making it more of a b*tch to carry around. the bigger dimensions are taking up more space in my bag. I wish dell stayed at 12 inch

    7/8" and 1-1/4" (with the 6 cell).

Keyboard is MUCH nicer (full-size compared to the 700m).

I actually got tired of 12" screen, and wanted 13" for some time already, thinking of Sony SZ but it was out of my price range.

no mouse included, unless you order it with the 1330.
