    Ping Problems

    I have an xps 1210 and I play counterstrike. I have always noticed that I have a much higher ping than everyone else, around the 200-300 area. I am only running counterstrike while playing and I am using a direct cable connection. My computer runs fine the rest of the time.

    Any ideas?

    have you checked this with your isp? I had problems and it was my connection down the line they had a bad switch now every things great and this was after i pulled my hair out for weeks thinking it was my equipment when it wasn't so i think i would start there first then work backwards

    Your probably right. I have a university campus connection and I doubt I can do anything. The weird thing is, I thought my school had a very good connection.

    Also, where are the servers you are playing on located? Sometimes your the only one in another country on then server; I have that happen a lot.
