    Playing DVD on Vostro1400, not impressed

    I played DVD for the first time on the 1400 using the included media player that links to Media Direct. Works ok but when you start forwarding etc there is just too much lag. I tried to ffwd at 16x and I could not get it to stop or play, The buttons would not respond. The DVD ended up forwarding all the way, lol.

    Not sure if it the VMP on Vista that is like this or the DVD (Pioneer) player is not very responsive. Anyway if any can experiment and see if they see similar thing then post feedback, much appreciated. Thx

    Well, you have 1GB of ram... thats still enough though, so I dont know what in the hell the problem would be.
