Hi everyone,
I just resinstalled Windows on my inpsiron 6000 using Dell's reinstallation DVD. However, after the reinstallation I'm unable to read any other DVDs. Windows can see the files on the dvd, but cannot read/open the data correctly. It appears to be very slow, with the tendency to crash, and some error messages pops up. I've tried both data dvds as well as video dvds, which worked fine on my other computer. I've also try updating the driver for my TSSTcorp DVD+-RWTS-l532B and everything I think that might be related. I noticed Dell posted something about Cineplayer( http://support.dell.com/support/dow...1&vercnt=1&formatcnt=1&libid=6&fileid=190215)... Does that have anything to do with my problem? Currently, I don't that software. Lastly, I think it is not a hardware problem due to the fact that the reinstallation DVD still works.
Anyway, can someone please help me?
Thanks in advance!!!
Patrick

You need to install a dvd decoder. Most inspirons come with Cyberlink PowerDVD which can be requested from Dell's Tech support. They'll send it to you free of charge. I know that will solve the video dvd problem, and hope it solves the data problem.
