    Popping Sound while Playing Audio

    When I am playing video and audio from different sources, I am hearing popping/clicking type sounds subtly in the background. It comes from both my laptop speakers and 2.1 system.

    Is this sound intermittent and lasts maybe 5 to 10 seconds?

    If so, make sure you have no mobile phones anywhere near unshielded cables. At intervals mobile phones broadcast strong signals to let the base stations know where they are.

    I'm using WMP 11. It's like two clicks every 3-5 seconds. I need to try playing more from different sources and from within different software.

    I do have my phone at my desk almost all the time. Never heard that. So I'll see if that changes anything.

    does it still do that? cuz i just noticed the static from a cell phone...my speakers went really clicky...lol
