Unfortunately, we do not hear it often, but Dell made me a happy camper recently :)
I purchased my system (in the sig) from Dell in March, and the invoice went in on March 20th. I got my system on 24th. System was purchased through EPP from my work place.
On April 10th Dell offered 10% off XPS systems purchased through EPP. I was kind of reluctant to look at the prices of my system for the reason not to be upset of the lower pricing that was going on...
Anyway, I found out on April 21st that Dell has a price matching policy on the their products within the 21-day return period.
I gave Dell a call that Monday to see if 10% off can be retroactively applied to my order.
After speaking with the customer support agent for about 10 minutes and told that unfortunately Dell cannot process additional 10% off b/c I was calling outside of the return day policy I asked if I can talk to customer relationship manager/agent.
I was transfered to the customer advocate department and was on the call with an agent within 20 minutes.
The end result - Dell applied 10 % off and the credit + tax credit went back to my DPA account a few days later.
In my books this is a big thumbs up since I did not have to resort to threatening Dell with shopping with someone else, and that my XPS was the last Dell purchase!

I've had nothing but GOOD experiences with Dell. Anecdotes from ordering/using 7 different machines to prove it.
