Long story short, i was tired of the cpu whine of my m1530 and im tired of turning on rmclock too much fuzz and it did not completely solve my problem. So i tried something else, tweaking the bios.

    My bios version is A05.
This is what i did to get rid of my noisy hard drive noises (95%) and cpu whine (100%)!!!

Oh and for people out there who might say: Dude its not cpu whine its caused by the mother board, yes i know, im just gonna call it cpu whine for short!

    Here is the process:

    - Going into bios by pressing F2 on boot screen.
    - Then go to the section where you can mess around with the settings of wifi/bluetooth.
-Turn off the cellular thing if you do not use WWAN.
-Turn off other service that you do not have as well such as bluetooth.
-Go to the hard drive section, turn the hard drive on performance mode. (It eats more battery, but its less noisy? For me at least)
-Now just save the changes to the bios and you are done.

Tell me the results if it worked for you or not!
If you mess up during a step just reset bios!

Play around with the bios a bit.

Now my m1530's hard drive is not noisy at all finally i can leave it on over night! No more cpu whine thats a big plus as well!.

My battery life on battery saver: 5hr 21min (87%)

I've tried turning stuff off on the m1330 (yeah i know this is about the 1530) and nothing really helped. The best was when i turned off the wifi-catcher. The whining got lower, but it's still annoying.

When i get home I'm gonna have another go at turning off the cell modem (even though there isn't one in my laptop)

It doesn't fully get rid of the cpu whine, i have really sensitive hearing...the super high pitched sound gives me a really bad headache after a while.

I'll try this for my M1330 when I get home. But what exactly does the WWAN do? I don't want to disable it if I might be using it without realizing it.

WWAN is a slot that you can put another wireless card in whether it be wifi, or for wireless internet say from sprint or verizon.

I'll try this when I get home.

When I tried RMClock following the instructions posted here, it worked but it froze up my laptop within 15 mins, which has never happened before.

I tried the RMClock fix this evening and the exact same thing happened. :(

    Back to the drawing board...
