    Possible to negotiate price of a refurb?

    I know Dell reps occasionally bend or offer incentives when you're purchasing a new Dell, or at least they once did.

    Is such a thing possible with a refurb? I see a model I like, but it priced $100 more than the exact same new model with the exception that it has 1 more gig of RAM, which is of course absurd. Might they see the light if I pointed this out, and offered something like $100 less?

    I think the best thing they can do for you is pull out a 15% off and that's it.

    Seriously, if there's just a $100 or even $200 difference, why not just buy brand new and use a coupon?
