I have an M1330 and my "C" key is very difficult to press. It still works, but I can tell there's something stuck under it. I've tried blowing it out, but nothing works. The key is still hard to press compared to all the others. Is there any way to remove the key to clean under it? I used to have a Toshiba laptop and you could remove all the keys and snap them back in. I'm afraid of trying that with the Dell. Any ideas on how to remove the key or clean under it?

I'm assuming it's still under warranty......Call and get the whole keyboard replaced.

I don't how to remove keys but removing the keyboard is pretty easy. I have done it......Remove the keyboard and hold it vertical and the object should fall down...!!

you can pop the keys off. just pull it from front to back.

yup, keys on all notebooks are held on the same way, they just clip in. So you can just pull them off, clean what's under it, then put them back quite easily!
Dont bother taking out the whole keyboard, cos that wont do anything! The C-key will still be stuck, cos there will still be something wedged between it and the metal "dam" that is underneath all the keys! -

Okay, I pulled it from front to back and it popped right off. Not as fragile as Dell makes it sound. The first time I looked, there was nothing visible under the key. I had to take another key off and compare it against that one. Finally, I saw something. After alot of work, it appears there was a small piece of plastic or glue under the key. I've never seen anything like it, but my key works again and I don't have to send it in. Thanks for the responses!
Possible to remove key from keyboard?
