I bought a 15R for somebody a while ago and completely forgot to check if it had a backlit keyboard, and now I'm looking for a solution.

Would it be possible to use a 15R Special Edition keyboard replacement with the regular 15R to get a backlight?

I've replaced a dell XPS backlit keyboard before and I know there are two connections coming from the keyboard, the standard data transmission strip and the small connector for power. The problem I could see myself running into is there not being the smaller power connector port on the regular 15R.

Has anyone with a 15R SE opened it up? Does the keyboard have two connections coming off of it or are they putting the power through the same strip?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
