Please post your mini reviews, initial impressions here.

    I'll start it off...

    I received my m1330 today.
After 10 hours or so of playing around with it and getting it to working condition, I have some initial impressions.

The display (the whole display assembly) is really filmsy and the bottom border of the display is pretty pathetic. But the keyboard and rest of the laptop is pretty solid.

The display is beautiful. Viewing angles don't seem to have improve over regular CCFL's but the display is crisp and blacks and whites are really great.

I installed a different synaptic trackpad driver than the one given (allows me to use the 4 corners of the trackpad as custom buttons).

The laptop is really quite, almost silent, fans are on very low rpm never goes really fast.

The one issue i have is the heat. The bottom gets fairly hot (really really warm), I would not use it on my lap for a long period of time, as a male it does get uncomfortable on my lap. The palm rest does get warm too, but definitely not as hot as the bottom.

Also, the slot drive is loud not only when loading and unloading but while playing, it makes a lot of spinning noise and I could hear it over the movie i was watching.

I installed AVG Internet Security and my performance went down noticeably.

That's pretty much all I can think of right now.

Sounds about right. one thing i was interested in was the LED display it offered which alows less power consumption and is brighter and thinner. I was kinda dissapointed when it came out 2 days after i ordered my M1210 but now i think about it i'm happy with what i got.
If you're having problems with performance and speed like i was, i suggest looking into your power settings and your graphics card controll panel. Generally laptops run slower than what they are capable of to cut down on battery consumption.

you could actually return for a refund, if you really wanted 1330 (of course, if you are within 21 days)... And yeah, I agree - if you think it's running too hot and you are not running CPU-intensive tasks, set the 1330 to power saver mode. For other feedback re 1330 I suggest reading 1330 owner lounge, many ppl posted their initial impressions there (there's a bit of OT discussion but it's not too bad ;) )
