After playing a few hours of TF2/CS:S - I was wondering if any of you guys allow the your Dell (in particular XPS) to cool down post gaming scession for lets say 10 minutes, or untill the fan simmers down a bit. I am just afraid of the heat that this laptop generates untill I get my Zalman notebook cooler in the mail.
Just wondering![]()

i just got through playing for an hour and no lol....I am actually going to watch a show before going to sleep on my notebook

A notebook cooler is probably a good idea for such powerful machines.
Would you leave the cooler on while you game, or just use it to cool the laptop after you game? -
I'd probably let mine idle for a few mins before shutting it down to be on the safe side.
I normally browse a few forums after a gaming session anyway, so it makes sense to incorporate that into a cool-down cycle.
Monster spec by the way ifti! 8) -

Regret not going for the dual 200GB 7200rpm HDD's in RAID 0 to be honest - so I'll be setting that up when the system arrives as well
Anyways, I also may be interested in a cooler.....just want to know its gonna be quiet and not make additional noise!
Xe12o - maybe you could come back and give us a mini-review once you receive yours?? -
Any updates on a suitable cooler for this beast?
Xe12o - what did you think of the Zalman cooler? -
Guys Any Links for Zalman Cooler for India ... or somesite which can ship it to India ..
Thanks in Advance . -
Picture of the M1530 running with the Zalman NC-1000 at full blast. I got an average of 68 degrees celcius while gaming after two hours of TF2. After a few seconds of taking down the screen, immediately the temperature dropped back to the 60s-55s
Idle runs around 56C with the Zalman. Preforming multitasking with instant messenger and browzing the internat I get 60C
The crazy part is gaming without the NC1000, I get a gaming reading with TF2 of around 80C.
Someone posted taht the NC2000 didn't do much for the m1530.
But getting 66 vs 78-80. Ill take that anyday for my GPU temperature. -
Is the unit loud?
What size is the unit - will it do for a 17" screen notebook? -
I would also like to get a review of this cooler?
