    Mine was supposed to ship today, but the automated order status phone system says it's in Kitting, which sounds like it'll be several days until it's built. I'm thinking about canceling it and buying a refurbished Latitude 630... I can get one of those in 3-4 days.

    Original Order Date: 7/19
    New Delivery Date: No idea and no hints from Dell

    If its in kitting it'll be shipped within next week, in all honesty kitting is way at the end of production. Then theres testing and boxing.

    I ordered July 16, it was supposed to ship on August 1.
    It was delayed until August 7... i was told it is being expedited due to my delay, but it's still in build stage.

    Yeah. My thoughts exactly when I looked at my order status. It's ridiculous but school doesn't start until the 15th of the month, so I suppose I can wait.

    I am supposed to get a replacement for 1420. The est. shipping date has already passed, and there is no update on the page.

    I guess I can wait since I still have my old system with me.

    Now the telephone order status says mine is undergoing "Testing" :confused:

    Looks like there are 'bout 100 people testing my laptop, so I guess its going to take a loooong time. ;)

    Technically "Testing" is also under "Production".

    But from what I've heard its after assembling.

    And, mine did say Production(Building) this Afternoon.

    Did you check with the Phone order status?
