Anyone else ?
So many ppl have ordered this system -
Those who initially got their deals from drake probably "ran away" with $700-$900 in savings for the same specs configured now.
-
Pretty good deal for Europe (Holland):
T5250, 2GB ram, 160GB 5400RPM, WLED schreen, 6 cell battery for 1070EUR which will be about $1300. Still, most prices in EUR are the equivalent of USD e.g. most notebooks I see configed here in $ is the price we pay in EUR.. -
drake ? Who is drake ?
I got for 1610 + taxes the following
Intel 2.0ghz 7300
1gb ram
120 gb hd
6 cell
128mb nvidia

Mine was better. But my deal was through Drake University. I paid 1550 taxed and shipped with better specs -
thats a great deal, I ordered with a Amex so they will add an extra year but you still got a much better deal. One of my friends friend goes to drake and he just customized the same system you got and it is coming out to 1869 pre tax, how did you get it at that price ?
-
i cheated... :/
-
I saw ur PM buddy, good deal.
To everyone else did I get a good deal they told me est. shipping time is late Aug so I can still get a price adjustment. -
-

How did you get that deal chicka, was it thru a specifec school ? Also when did you place that order ?
-
placed it on 7/7. I modified my last order. Previuosly the price was 1728.41 but I decided to downgrade the RAM from 2Gb to 1gb. The price came down to $1,548.47 with tax and shipping. I asked for free next day shipping because that was what my last order had. He said ok, but when I checked the confirmation email, I noticed that he charged me $39 for 2nd business day shipping which wasn't what I wanted. So I talked to a rep through the chat and explained that I asked for free next day shipping but he charged me the $39 for the wrong option. SO I convinced her to deduct the $39 shipping charge and upgrade me to free next day shipping which was what I was originally supposed to have. Hence the total being $1508.XX
-
The best price I could get was about $2200 for this system:
Cored 2 Duo T7300 (2.0Ghz, 4MB cache)
LED screen w/ webcam
1Gb RAM
160GB 5400rpm HDD
CD/DVD Burner
128MB Nvidia 8400GS
Intel Wireless-N networking card
Fingerprint scanner
3yr in-home warranty
3yr lojack
6cell battery
That included free 2nd day shipping. Basically they couldn't even get the price near $2000 out the door and I just didn't feel comfortable with that given what others have been getting. Did I just get a bad rep or what? -
the only way to get a sick deal is through student discount
i got the t7300
LED w/webcam
1gb ram
120gb 5400
8400
wireless G
3yr + accidental
6 cell
$1550 + tax -
Yeah, I'm a law school student and even WITH the extended 3 year service warranty+lojack (I upgraded from 2yr) they wouldn't do more than $150 off.
It came to $2278 shipped, so I said thank you...buh-bye -
How do you get the student discount?
I'm using the Dell store link through my college is that all I need to do? -
-
my order was cancelled because it was placed in the wrong dept. and didn't get 12% discount. New great order, even though a ship date of 8/27, I'm ine with it.

Mr original price for this system with tax is 3600 bucks! Yea!!!
To add to this phenomenal deal, Dell called and replaced my M1210 FREE!!! the same day for free so two are on their way. -
-
Since I ordered this, my screen changed to a Slim LCD (diff number 5589 not 5583). I have been on and off with Dell for no less than 20 hours since I originally ordered on the 3rd trying to get it straightenned out. In the process, a Rep not in Can/US deleted my Dell profile and I had to fight to get everything back including the purchase and a replacement system.... the extras are a result of that.
If you want to read about the problem with the monitor choice here is the thread:

Please from now on anyone posting a great deal you got state how. If through a school please state what school. If through some lucky rep you got, maybe you can post their name and extension. Basically post how you got your great deal. Thanks everyone for posting in this thread.
-
got one with:
t7300
1gb ram
3yr warrenty + accidental
3yr anti virus
8400 video
9 cell
wireless N
bluetooth
$1600 shipped, tax included -
We're all in the same boat as you, but maybe not with the same knowledge of opportunity, so let us in!
-
The coupons can only be used once... the add ons came as a result of some emplyee deleting my Dell profile for some reason then me spending over a day on the phone after that
-
as with mine, since they had to cancel my last order since it was placed in the home office dept instead of through EPP. So i lost my great ship date of 8/3, the discounts the guy offered me and I was now at the back of the line. Stayed on the phone with them for over an hour because of it. And all i wanted to do was upgrade the processor!
-
Come on ppl, I just canceled my order cause I saw ppl getting much better deals than I did.
-
ok I just got a pretty good deal I think
Intel core 2 duo 2.0ghz T7300
2GB ram
120GB HD
crimson red
led display
8x dvd burner
bluetooth
intel wireless n
dell 1110 laser printer
intel g8400 128mb
3 year NBD warranty
3yr complete care
3yr lojack
1590$ + tax (free overnight shipping).
PS. Did I get a good deal ? -
Yes its a good deal... The only diff between our deals appears to be that I got the SS 32Gb HD (550) but other than that...phenom! I had to use a 1/2 coupon for mine so if you did that by just talking, Ide be amazed to here that you passed the info on and another got the same!!!
I keep waiting for a better deal than mine to be done...this is close! oh wait plus tax...hmm...
mine before tax is... 1323 with the SS drive ( I feel like a thief) -
Well I just got another 70$ off so now it is 1660$ shipped taxed. I'm trying to get another 150off by downgrading the ram.
-
Are you aware that every configuration change bumps you to the back of the pack???
Your order is cancelled and reordered with every change, including solely monetary reductions. -
but its worth the savings -
After reading these posts I don't think my deal was that great compared to others...

If I'm in the US, i would have talked to the dell salesrep too. Prices in Singapore are pretty fixed, most is they throw in a free wireless mouse.
Post here if you got a great deal on the M1330
