I ran Superpi today for the first time. I have done nothing to my laptop yet other than install some programs, all the bloat ware is still sitting on the HDD about 63 processes running. I just recieved this laptop today so I have had no time to do anything to it yet.

My Superpi calculation to 2mil was 58.484

This is running C2D t7400 and 2gb of 533mhz ram.

    Post your results.

After looking around at all the Super Pi results on here, I notice that as long as you have enough memory in your laptop (say, 512MB minimum for Windows XP these days), the rest of the components doesn't matter, nor does any other background application the system is running. Super Pi seems to be a CPU only intensive application, and it is only single threaded.

And, you'll get roughly the same results, +/-5% for margin of error, for the same CPU. Therefore, the Core 2 Duo T7200 on my XPS M1210 will run Super Pi as fast as the Core 2 Duo T7200 in say, a Toshiba, or on the XPS M1710. This has held true for almost all of the processors tested in the numerous reviews on here.

FYI, mine took 1m02s (62 seconds) to complete 2 Million places on a Core 2 Duo T7200 (2.00GHz).

Another non-Dell user... (check signature for PC). Anyway, I got a minute flat with a T7200.
