Hey guys, first and foremost thanks for all the help on this board to everyone.
Just received my laptop last weekend and I was looking in that area as stated in the title and noticed Battery Life tab with an airplane icon to the left and the following text to the right: Battery will stop charging blah blah blah. Is anyone using this option as far as people who don't like to have their battery in all day when you have the laptops AC adapter going with the battery already at full charge? Did I interpret the function correctly or is it for something completely different? Any input is appreciated it and I hope this hasnt been asked already ask I have been reading a lot of posts and did not see anything about it. Thanks again guys.

That thing prevents the battery from charinging when you plug in the AC adaptor. For example, if your battery is at 40% and you have the airplane thing activated, when you plug in your AC adaptor, it will run off the AC power but your battery will stay at 40%.
This setting is designed for use with aircraft in-seat power systems. The power ports on airliners don't provide much power; thus, airlines request that when you plug in your laptop while in flight to not charge the battery and simply run off the power provided by the in-seat socket. This software disables battery charging and allows the laptop to run off just AC power. It's the same thing as you physically removing the battery and running off AC power. -
I need to try that! -
