The power adapter is not detected by the laptop.
Hence it's not charging,or not usable.

Tried different charger and different battery but no hope.

Laptop is working fine in a charged battery [powered by battery only]

The power port is OK checked via multimeter after dismantling showed 19V.

    Can any one please help.

Hi Hackdrag, My Name is Sylvester P. I am from the Dell Social Media and Outreach Team.
I saw that you had posted about the adapter not detecting in Studio 1435. I regret for the inconvenience. I would be glad to assist you with this problem. First we need to check if it is a problem with the Power Adapter or the Motherboard.

Kindly Follow the Below Steps and reply back with the results:

    1. Check if the Power Adapter is detected in the BIOS (Basic Input OutPut System) Screen. To Access BIOS, We need to keep tapping on the F2 key as we start the Notebook.

    2. Once we get into the BIOS, we will have several options on the left side where the first option would be System Info. Under System Info, use the down arrow key and highlight the option which says Battery Info.

    3. Once the Battery Info is highlighted it would show you the charge percentage of the battery on the right pane of the BIOS screen. Right below the battery we would get to see the AC adapter type. Do check what does the AC adapter type shows as.

    4. If the AC Adapter type shows as Unknown, then the problem is with the AC Adapter. But to be on the safer side kindly check the Battery health as well.

Do follow the above steps and reply back. We will be glad to assist.

    Thanks & Regards,

If your adapter is a known good part, then you've got a problem with the motherboard or the daughterboard with the DC jack on it. The latter is a cheap part, but you have to take out the motherboard to replace it.

    1. Take out your battery and put it in. Restart pc
    2. If that not work. Reflash bios (restarting pc is often enough though, if you use Dell original ac adapter
