    Hi there

    1. I was wodering if Dell has a program that could improve battery life.
I know Toshiba has a program called "Power Saver" that adjusts the brightness of the comp while on battery but how about Dell?

    2. I received my Dell on Tuesday but I noticed that it did not come with a proper manuel for my model. Is this normal or are we supposed to request one?

    Thank you

To make sure your processor is conserving power, click Start, Control Panel, Power Options, and then set it to "Portable/Laptop".

Other than that, reduce the screen brightness on battery, that uses a lot of power. I usually keep my display's brightness to where it is just comfortable, but not too dim to look at. Even one notch of brightness can make a small difference.

Also avoid accessing the hard drive excessively on battery, and try not to use the optical drive.

Is there a way that I can let QuickSet only run on battery instead of on ac?

Quickset is so poor it barely runs as is , it doesn't have shortcut keys and looks chilldish , I rather use XP power managment .

    1. You can setup several profiles according to your activity but in addition the best thing is to undervolt the CPU , works great with Dothan , unknown yet in Yonha .

    2. Just download the pdf from Dells site .

    Enjoy your new notebook .
