Hello, although I know my way around computers, I am not up on all the technical aspects. My new Dell Studio 1735 came with a powered USB port. What exactly is it for and what can I plug into it without damaging it?

Oh? That is handy. Does the 17 have this feature also? I have several devices that charge via USB. Does it still only provide the USB spec 500mah?
