So I ordered on 8/7 and the robot lady tells me my order is still in pre-production . Is this amount of time normal for that status? Anyone else having this issue?

Its normal in the present climate. If you wait less than 4 weeks consider yaself lucky.

It means your payment method has been accepted. Your order is now waiting for parts. At least one component from your order is delayed. Therefore, your order as a whole is on pause. If you're curious, I suggest calling customer service to find out which specific part(s) is/are delayed.
