I'm actually buying a desktop, but I'm wondering how accurate the estimates are these days, with or without a coloured lid/case.

(I'm just worried because I once ordered one of the inspiron notebooks and had to cancel because it was delayed for months)

    Thanks :)

I ordered two laptops, one came 2 weeks early, the other came a few days early.

Under normal circumstances the delivery date is conservative and you'll usually get your system earlier.

If the quoted preliminary ship date is fairly close, chances are there are no delays.

My 14z, with a ship date of July 22nd, shipped on the 9th. But it was originally supposed to ship on June 26th and the order was cancelled and re-entered, so it's late compared to the originally promised date.
