    Preliminary ship date 8/13 for newly ordered 1330s ?

    I ordered my XPS 2 weeks ago, and my preliminary ship date is 8/28. I just went to dell, and I customized the same machine the preliminary ship date is 8/13. So would my system like ship out 2 weeks early ?

    It's not going to get you your laptop any faster than ground

    I have pretty much given up on any hope of getting this before I leave for school. I have 8/23 as my ship date and last night I configured again and got 8/7. I'm hoping that the later is more accurate and that they just don't update delivery dates for systems already ordered. Either case, I haven't found a laptop as nice as this one at the price I got it at.

    I did the same and Im still getting an 8/31 estimated ship date that I was quoted on my original order. Maybe its your configuration.

    I also noticed now that you cannot select the video card upgrade and a 4-cell battery. The website will tell you it is incompatible. Also they added a sound card option for $75. Also the price went up at least $30 on something since I last ordered, same configuration priced out for more this time.

    CCFL LCD's are 8/13 ...

    ... if you did the LED LCD, it is 8/31. If its not showing you that, then you aren't clicking the "review & continue" tab for the prelim shipping date to update. It's a firefox thing. If you use IE, it should update instantly for some reason.

    I've configured several M1330's over the past week and the ETA never changed from 8/31 with an LED screen. However, if you go over to the business side and configure the same notebook, the ship dates are going into September now!
