Well I just started at UC berkeley grad program. I walked in and asked what dell computers they offer the grad students. He handed me an m1330 and said it was 1299. I assumed that was a pretty basic setup, but no

For 1299 you get 2 gig of ram, 8600GS, 6 Cell battery, 1.5ghz, normal LCD, and you get to walk out of the store with it.

And the kicker was 3 years of complete care + accidental damage coverage... dang.

it ALMOST made me regret my m1210 purchase, but mines a bit more powerful (2.0) for significantly cheaper (999).

Edit: he later informed me they sold out almost immediately.

So, they actually HAVE them in stock at the store there? Maybe I can drop by the UC Berkeley bookstore and actually see an M1330?

    I don't think the M1330 comes with the 8600GS. You mean 8400GS?
