So last Friday, I ordered a XPS m1530. Yay!... The problem is that the price when checking out was:
Subtotal: $1,420.85
Shipping and Handling: $24.98
Shipping Discount: -$24.98
Tax: $115.98
State Environmental Fee $8.00
Total: $1,544.83
But my confirmation email listed:
Subtotal: $1,420.85
IVA: $57.53
Shipping and Handling: $24.98
Import Fee: $8.00
Shipping Discount: -$24.98
Total: $1,486.38
I emailed Dell about this, but they just forwarded me two order summaries (because I also ordered some accessories). The totals of the two orders do match up with the confirmation email ($ 1,445.00+$ 41.38). But their reply did nothing to answer my question on why the checkout price was $1544!
So I'm just really confused right now. Did I forget how to add or something? Should I bug them some more or will it be a waste of time and they'll just tell me to just accept the confirmation email price? (Not that I'm complaining about an extra $60 savings).

How much was your card/etc. charged?

I only see the $41.38 for the accessories (which has already shipped).

The discrepancy seems to be the difference between the IVA fee in the confirmation e-mail and the tax in the checkout thing. It seems that IVA is the total price of your accessories with shipping etc.. and that the confirmation e-mail is excluding tax for some reason.

The same thing happened to me, the price in the confirmation email is lower than the checked out price. tax charges at the check out, but none in the confirmation, but then there was IVA and import fee... It has been almost a month since I got my laptop, my dell credit card charges are still the same as the confirmation email. I'm a little bit confused!~ I only ordered the laptop, no other accessories!
