    Price dropped during Shipment !!!

    So I ordered XPS1530 nd it came out to be Rs73102
    but when i config the same specs tday (my lappy has not been delivered yet )
    it came out Rs70,000 something
    Now .. How should I argue with the CSR so that she will give me some discount or anything ..
    HELP me here mates

    Call them up and tell them to either match the price or you'll send back the laptop and re-order it. There's nothing else you can do BUT threaten to return the laptop. If they won't give you a credit, then follow through with your threat and return it/re-order it.

    call them up, they will honor the new price otherwise you can just cancel the order

    Forgive me if I am wrong, but isn't that like a 75$ dollar difference? I would go ahead and ask them if they recredit you, if they don't want to, I wouldn't cancel the order, I can deal with 75$.

    Hi,

    I don't think one needs to threaten or be evil with Dell. My Nephew had pleasant experience with Dell recently.

    He ordered Vostro 1500 for $599, around Nov 10 and got delivery around Nov 16. Around Nov 12, Dell reduced the price to $549 and upgraded RAM to 2GB from 1 GB. When he called Dell on 18/19, they promptly refunded $107 ( $50 rebate + $57 1 GB RAM's Value). I must say very prompt Delivery and prompt refunding. No Hassles at all.

    Hope Dell will respond in similarly in this case also.

    I had a similar scenario earlier this month. I ordered a 1521 on 11/29 and received it in about a week. Few days later, I discovered this site (great find, btw) and found a Dell coupon for $200 off same machine. So, I wanted to get another one (for my daughter) and I called up Dell to see if I could get $200 off the first machine that I had. I was transferred to a Sales Specialist, and she ended up crediting my account $100, and sent me a $100 coupon. It all added up to o$200, so I was happy (they actually added tax on to the credit, so it came to $105)

    they will fix it , yesterday I called them because my discount that I used when I bought my first XPS1530 has not been used on the second XPS1530 that I got after i returened my damaged first one... they gave me way more than the discount...
    doesn't hurt to try.. try the chat online. if doesn't work, wait a while and try again with diffrent person. some are better than others..
