    The insprion notebooks colors before costed $20 more same with the webcam. Why is it now $50 to upgrade to them?

    I don't know but i got both the color and the webcam free on my 1720...

    Saw a $50 jump in the 630's as well (configured the same as mine), but they do throw in a standard fingerprint reader now.

    i got the earbuds free with my Vostro 1500
    now they cost $30

    The price jump is to cover all the people calling in to complain/beg for discounts/compensation.

    So when you see someone asking how to get compensation, realize that they are the cause of the price increase. :D
