This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Price reductions on the 1720 (other models?)

    I don't know whether this applies to other locations as well, but it appears now possible to reconfigure the 1720 on the Dell Australia website at a lower price for the same system.

    Seems it could be related to the addition of the T7700 processor option which wasn't there before, but I configured the exact same system (including a free Bluetooth mouse which was not included before) for AU$200 (pre-tax, pre-discount) less than it was when I ordered a few weeks back.

    If you used the NRMA coupons previously, the one that applied to the Inspirons has also increased from 3% to 5%, which made my system $282 cheaper in total.

    Since we're all just waiting around for them to get the parts in (31 August at the earliest), you might want to consider taking advantage of the opportunity to knock a bit of cash off the price, without (presumably) adding too much time to the date it will be delivered.

    me too Starting to wonder about Vostro 1500 or the Inspiron 1520 now.

    My m1330 just got push back to 1 Sept. :(
