    Prices for extended warranty?

    The question isn't really about the up-front cash - for example, if you replace the optical drive once in the lifetime of the notebook, then you just "paid off" (by using the warranty once) for the four years.

    Like I said though - it isn't about the money - the real question is - are you going to keep a notebook for four years??

    Then it is quite a good deal for 200$. Trust me, with Dell parts, you WILL have to replace something within four years. It is warranty money well spent.
