    Hello guys,
When I ordered my 1420 I was stuck with the option of Vista Basic because I could not afford to get any more upgrades to my machine. I had checked a few weeks later and I found that all 1420's had premium, and no basic. So I called Dell and complained a little, yah I know w/e I'm a brat, and I had got my ordered prioritized because I did not want to sit through a cancelation just for Vista Premium. So Dell gave me next day business shipping and they prioritized my order.

My ESD still stands as 9/11 but it is already in the boxing stage.

I was just wondering for the people that got their inspiron's priortized, does it really do anything?

    Thanks in advance,
    Anthony

It sounds like prioritizing is just for shipping. There is really no way to prioritize orders in the manufacturing center. They group the orders by configuration for efficiency but not otherwise.

The supervisor that I had spoken to said he had just got off the phone with the "manufacturing center," and that my order had been prioritized for both shipping and the manufacturing center. He also said that supervisors such as himself have the power to move my laptop which would be at the bottom of the list, to close to the top and get it shipped out faster.

However, my laptop is still in the boxing stage. Hopefully it ships tonight.
