    Problem With Dell Inspiron 3800, HELP!

    Hey guys, when my computer boots up it shows the dell opening part fine, but when it comes to my BIOS password the screen goes crazy and it looks like a tv with really bad reception, or a VCR with bad tracking, it keeps flashing on and off and i cant read anything, please help, i really need this fixed for work!!!!!!!

    I cant put the password in, it just stays on that screen then restarts, but i am, for sure, putting in the right password.

    Yeah, if you look in your owner's manual you will probably find a system "reset" switch/hole. Usually, like some laptops there will be a little hole that you can stick a thin object (such as a paper clip) into and it reset's it whole entire system, even the system clock. Try reading your owner's manual for a similar idea.

    You could try removing the CMOS battery to reset BIOS settings. Perhaps it was corrupted somehow. If the video card was the problem you would see the same distortion on the dell opening.
