Hi all, I'm having a bit of a problem with the dell XPS webcam, I'm trying to use it with Aim 6 and it keeps on giving me an error that it can't connect. Does anyone know what the problem is. or what program works well with the webcam. Thanks.

I've used AIM 6 with my laptop with different results. To be honest, AIM is a really crap program and I think the issue isn't your webcam so much as the program. Try reinstalling. I love using skype and MSN messenger-- never fails me for video chatting.

I've used aim 6 dozens of times with the cam with no issue. Be sure to check whether the driver is installed for the Dell webcam. After that, check if aim is an allowed communications port in your firewall program.

Well, it worked, but now it doesn't work. it initiates the webcam, but the other person couldn't see me. and the audio didn't work.

I'll have to play around with it a little more.
