I have a Dell Inspiron 1545. When in AOL mail, I am typing along and suddenly the email is sent before I am done. I think I am accidentally hitting the shift/cntrl key. My palms DO NOT rest on the touchpad. I experimented in Yahoo mail and this never happened. Any suggestions? AOL is such a pain and I don't even know where to start.

Also, while typing on this Dell, I suddenly find my cursor has jumped back about 2 or 3 lines and continues the typing, forcing me to back space out and return to the actual line of typing. Anyone know why this happens?

    Thanks.

Try logging into AOL Mail from the web, and not though the AOL 9 software. That way, we can see if this is isolated. Here's how:

    1. Sign onto AOL like you normally would. Click the Minimize button on the upper right of the AOL window to send the window to the taskbar.

    2. Click on the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop. When it loads go to mail.aol.com

    3. Logon to mail.aol.com by typing in your screenname and password in the boxes.

    4. try sending a message, doing what you normally do, but within the Internet Explorer window. Is the problem happening in IE?

BTW, AIM stands for AOL Instant Messenger. It's included with your AOL 9.0 software and let's you talk to people faster than E-Mail, literally instantly if they are online as well.

PM stands for "Private Message"- On NBR you can send a PM to a member, but you need more posts before you can do that quite yet.
