    Hey everyone,

Just wandering if one of you could help me out with a problem before I call Dell technical support (ughh...). I'm having problems with my WUXGA screen on my I8600. If I leave the power connector in for too long (about 30 mins) and then suddenly remove the main power to switch to battery, the screen goes completely blank. You can tell that the LCD part of the screen is still working (can still see the image shadow), but the backlight is not.

Not only that, but if I'm on battery and I put the screen brightness on the lowest setting, it goes blank again (backlight goes) and then when I try to increase the screen brightness again, it doesn't work, the screen remains blank.

When I go into standby and repower again, the screen comes to life again as normal unless I recreate the above situations again.

Now what I want to know is, is this a hardware problem or a software one? (something to do with the Dell powersave software or something?). If it's software, I'd rather re-install all the software than send the machine back, because it'll be a real hassle. [ :(]

    Any suggestions?

Just found the solution to the problem....... ;-) (Default display setting was on double screen, not single screen).
